Honeybees News May 2016….
It’s been busy couple of months engaging and settling new children in the Honeybees Room. We welcome Dominic, Zikra, Edith, Evie, Lachlan, Manuel, Lucas.H into the Honeybees room. The children have been exploring and enjoying the room set up and the permanent learning areas. They can choose from a wide selection of activities and toys that successfully contribute in achieving their milestones. The children are building on relationships with the peers and participating in group activities.
Along with our usual fun daily activities we’ve also been involved in community participation activities like Grand Parents Day, Bunny rearing Program, Mother’s day celebrations and PJ day.
We have been getting some great Feedback through parent teacher interview on program plan and also through Parent conversations. Thanks for all the support. This will help us focus on parental expectations and working in partnership.
As you can feel winter has finally arrived and it’s getting colder everyday, but we are still encouraging the indoor outdoor play programme, the children have an option of where they would like to play.
We have been working on teaching colours (Red, Blue, green etc) and shapes, Building different sensory and fine motor activities for the children to explore and build on their balancing and co-ordination.
We would like to say a big Thank-you to all the mum’s that came to our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea. The children really enjoyed spending time with their mums and it was lovely to see such a great turn out.
If you have any questions or concerns about the room or your child please feel free to speak to the room staff.
Finally, we’d like to say a BIG au-revoir to Teena, who is leaving us for a few months to have her own little Honeybee! We want to wish Teena the very best and we hope to see her back very soon.
