Starting childcare can be daunting for you and your child. Here at Kool Kidz we understand this and seek to support families to make this transition fun and exciting for all involved.
Firstly we will book you and your child for orientation sessions. During this time you and your child can relax in the room together and when you are ready you can try leaving your child for a period of time. We will discuss and record your child’s individual routines, your family’s needs and what Kool Kidz can offer you. During orientation, we will also go through your enrolment paperwork and ensure it is all completed ready for your child to begin their Kool Kidz journey.
On your child’s first day, you will be greeted at the reception. You will be required to sign your child in on the tablet and then take your child to their room where their educators will greet you both.
Now is a chance to let the educators know anything important for the day. You can then spend some time settling your child and when you are ready you can say goodbye. When you are ready to leave, we will step in to support your child, validate their emotions, and redirect their attention towards experiences they are interested in.
Don’t worry, if you are feeling anxious feel free to give us a call during the day and we will let you know how your child is settling in.
Also, keep an eye out on our Kool Konnect app. This is where we will regularly update you on your child’s routines, such as what they have eaten and if they have slept. We will also put up photos and a description of what we have been engaging in during the day. This provides opportunities for you to engage in meaningful and enjoyable discussions with your child about their day at Kool Kidz.
When you pick your child up at the end of the day they will be excited to see you and you can take some time with your child to explore before heading home. Educators will let you know how your child’s day was and pass on any important messages.
