Meet Your Approved Provider

Nicole Llewellyn

I am a mother to five children aged 19, 12, 10, 4 and 8 months and also have been a foster carer to over 100 children over the past 16 years. I personally know how hard it is to leave your child with others, so I pride myself on providing you with a professional service where your child is number 1 at all times and their education is our priority.

When the opportunity became available to run my own service where I could combine my love for managing others with my passion for caring for children, I jumped at the opportunity and haven’t looked back since.

With qualified and experienced room leaders hand-picked by me, supported by assistants and diploma qualified staff as second in charge of the room, the care that we provide to your son or daughter will exceed your expectations. As I am in the service daily, and within each of the rooms, I see what care and education is provided to your children and am available at any time to discuss any concerns you may have if required.

If you are not already part of the Kool Kidz Mill Park family, please feel free to call in at any time for a tour!

We love this centre, my son has been attending this centre since he was 18 months old and he is now 4 and a half. All the educators are wonderful and caring. My daughter has also been at the centre for the last year and a half and has learned so much! Both my kids just love it. I highly recommend this centre !
Tania
We have had our children in day care for the better part of the last 11 years, we appreciate the stability, care and consistency of Kool Kids Mill Park. The centre is clean and always calm and the they really do foster an environment that allows our little guy to thrive and grow. Most importantly our son looks forward to childcare every week and as a working parent we are very fortunate to have found a centre that genuinely care about the kids and their education. We highly recommend Kool Kidz Mill Park.

I was looking for a family owned and operated center as I like to know the owner cares enough to be there and available to the families, and I honestly could not have picked a better center, all the staff are so warm, caring and welcoming, both my kids absolutely love it there.
Sarwat Sarah Hbous
Excellent team of educators, very positive, happy and caring staff members towards all the babies and toddlers in the snugglebots room . Highly recommended centre .

Today is World Environment Day 🌎 and in recognition our Kinder children have been planting their new vegetable garden with carrots, beans and beetroot.
The children eagerly wanted to help; putting on their gloves in preparation. We first spoke about the vegetables we were growing and the children immediately insisted the carrots need to be pulled out because they grow underground. “The peas will come from the pods, they grow tall”.
Independently the children dug out some holes and placed their vegetables in the soil gently patting them down. The children have been attending to their patch to check on the vegetables growth and progress and to add some worms they have found.
They understand the needs of living things and the needs they require to thrive. 🌱 🥕

With approval from the Department of Education our Bush kinder program recommended today for our 3 year old kinder program.

At Bush Kinder, we got ourselves set up straight away with our sheets of paper with the activities listed and a pencil. We searched our environment to find the items on the list so we could tick them off. We did find many of the items including trees, grass, flowers, clouds, and birds however there were some things we were unable to find which sparked a discussion about the weather and the seasons.

After we did our hard work in finding things around us, we all sat down for some water and a story time. We read the book about baby possum and his mummy, who was always guarding her baby. We discussed the possum’s live in Australia, all about different kinds of possums and how they are native to our beautiful bushy country!

Our Bush Kinder program runs in our 3 year old kinder room each week on rotating days. 🌳 🌷 ☀️ ⛅️

As this week is Aboriginal Reconciliation week, our Caterpillars children have taken part in Dreamtime stories at story time.
We have read ‘Mad Magpie’ and ‘Tiddalik’ the story of how a frog drinks all the water! This seems to be the favourite with Amir asking “Can we make frogs?” so that has become today’s special project.
As we were gathered for storytime, we spoke about how the aboriginal people would make handprints on a rock or cave and that would become their meeting place.
We talked about making our own hand prints. We used a spray bottle over our hands to create the effect of cave drawings.
All the children were surprised when they moved their hands off the paper to reveal their shadow print.

I really enjoyed working with the children on this!

They look GREAT!

This week has also been National Reconciliation Week and in 2020 Reconciliation Australia marks twenty years of shaping Australia’s journey towards a more just, equitable and reconciled nation.

Much has happened since the early days of the people’s movement for reconciliation, including greater acknowledgement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander rights to land and sea; understanding of the impact of government policies and frontier conflicts; and an embracing of stories of Indigenous success and contribution.

Have a look at what our children have been doing around the rooms to mark this event.
