This week we extended on the ongoing interest in numerary, following up on this interest we used different sized measuring cylinders to measure the water volume. Colour mixing was another aspect of learning that occurred during this experience. This experience confirmed children`s increasing understanding of measurement and number using vocabulary to describe size, length, volume and capacity. Children also developed a range of skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating.
Junior master chefs
Kinder children collaboratively worked together to make their own lunch. There was a lot of excitement during this process and there was a lot of communication happening. Children were asked open ended questions and this made the experience enjoyable. Science was introduced, the heating and melting process. Everyone enjoyed the delicious lunch in the end.
