Slime Time in the Kool Kidz Docklands Snugglepots

Slime Time in the Kool Kidz Docklands Snugglepots

This week the Snugglepots children had a lot of fun exploring slime!

We mixed cornflour and water together in a big bucket outside and let the children explore and play together.

The Snugglepots really enjoyed touching the slime with their hands and feeling its different texture, especially as the cornflour mixture changes consistency.

We added blue and red dye to the slime so the children could see the different colours, and watch as they gradually swirled and mixed together.

The children lead a lot of their own play, putting their hand in the slime, throwing the slime, and even having a taste of the slime!

Many of them also enjoyed interacting with educators, including watching closely as the slime dripped from their hands in front of them.

Some children were unsure at first, but once they saw other children feeling and playing with the slime they felt confident to join in.

We will definitely be doing this activity soon in the future as the children were really engaged and seemed to really enjoy exploring and getting messy!
