‘If you could have any Animal as a pet in the world, what would it be?’
The children have recently been very interested in animals. They have been taking it in turns of acting like cats and dogs, they have made leads for the animals in the room and every time an animal is mentioned the children get very excited.
To extend on the children’s interest in animals, they were asked the question if they could have any animal in the world as their pet, what animal would it be.
Once the children expressed what animal they would pick they were then encouraged to create this animal using a variety of art materials. When the children were sticking the art materials down they were really trying to think about the different features each animal has.
Some of the children responses are below:
Ruby: ‘Here is one ear on this side and another on the other side.’
Minnie: ‘My Giraffe has the tallest neck ever.’
Noreen: ‘Look at all of my colours.’
India: ‘This looks like my Pussycat at home.’
