There is one thing we can say for sure about our little Snugglepots, they sure do love their food! The site of food has them running, crawling and reaching up to be taken over to eat.
In the Snugglepots we love coming together as a group for meal times so we can talk to one another, sing songs and most importantly enjoy some yummy food. We are very fortunate here at Docklands to have a beautiful and natural outdoor space which we take advantage of especially when we have amazing weather. This week we had just that. The sun was out and the children were having a great time playing outside so we decided rather than disrupt their play we would set up for lunch outside and they could join when they were ready. Well they did not disappoint.
The empty tables and high chairs was enough to stop them in their tracks as they came over ready to eat but not before washing their hands of course. It was such a lovely experience with many children from the older rooms in the yard looking over and saying hello and talking to the babies. So many of the children are now independently self- feeding with some requiring assistance though they are still eager to help themselves by either scooping up food with their hands or using another spoon. Let’s be honest, eating with our hands is way more fun.
