Gabe’s ‘awesome’ Robot
During sleep time while the other children were having a rest Gabe gathered a few pile of blocks from the numeracy corner. Gabe was happily engaged building, knocking down his towers and re-building. Educator Emma then asked Gabe if he wanted to keep the boxes that we had our Christmas decorations delivered in. Gabe jumped at the chance and began collecting all of the art materials that he said he needed to create his very own Robot. Gabe placed all of the art equipment onto the floor where he then set off sticking, cutting, ripping and gluing different art materials to the cardboard boxes. Gabe then began sticking the boxes together to add more height. After adding eyes to his Robot Gabe said ‘this Robot is so awesome’, ‘the most awesome Robot ever’. Gabe then couldn’t wait to show the other children what he had created while they were resting.
