An event within our community, which takes place on the 25th of April is ANZAC day. The Beetlebugs children had the opportunity to make some ANZAC biscuits. Children took it in turns to add each of the ingredients and mix them together. We used a cookie cutter to cut the biscuits into flower shapes and baked them in the oven and then wrapped them and handed out to families. Children enjoyed their yummy creations. The red poppy has become a symbol of war remembrance over the world. Children created their own red poppies using red paint and made a red poppy collage out of cut out red materials and natural greenery from our garden.
Lest we forget.
