To support the Leukaemia Foundation’s ‘World’s Greatest Shave’, here at KoolKidz on Wellington, we take part in ‘Crazy Hair Day’. It always promises to be a day of fun, colour and imagination. The use of non-permanent hair chalk, coloured hair spray, colourful hair ties and some imagination resulted in some amazing hair styles. The children and Educators all took part, with a variety of hair colours and styles on display, and even wigs for those who were not quite brave enough to colour their hair.
Each year, the Leukaemia Foundation holds the ‘World’s Greatest Shave’ in an effort to raise much needed funds into researching a cure for leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders, and to support people who have been diagnosed with one of these illnesses and their families. To date, $15,029,600 has been raised by various groups and individuals across Australia who take part in this Annual Event.
By taking part in events such as, we help the children become more involved in the community and have a better understanding of what it means to be part of a group and small community, while also raising awareness for such a great cause.
