The week of the 7th of May Kool Kidz Tarneit held their annual Mother’s Day/ Special Person Afternoon tea. The afternoon teas were split over three days and each room created and offered families with a variety of experience to be enjoyed by both children and their Special Person. As well as a special gift the Educators had helped create for children to give to their Mum or Special Person.
In the Snugglepots room children were creating a canvas each. The children were able to use different mediums to create masterpieces for their loved ones.
The Honeybees children created fridge magnets for their loved ones, using pictures that the Educators had taken over the week. While the afternoon teas were on children made special flowers using stencils and different mediums such as glitter, cut out paper and stickers.
The Beetlebugs children worked on their threading skills making necklaces and bracelets with the help of the children. Mums/Special Persons also got a wonderful hand massage by their children.
The Jitterbug children worked together to create flowers with their loved ones, also having the opportunity to enjoy some muffins that Julie had made, which the children iced with their loved one. Jitterbugs also had a photo frame that was beautifully created and was used across the whole service over the 3 days.
The Butterfly children were able to create icing biscuits with their loved ones, spreading their chosen coloured icing and then sprinkling on the 100’s and 1000’s. The children were also able to make placemats with their loved and create collage papers using different cuts of paper, some with words, some just colours and some with pictures on them.
Our Caterpillar children spent the afternoon painting their loved one’s nails and making beaded necklaces and bracelets. The children and their loved ones also created collaborative drawings and pastings.
The Kinder children created marvellous plates for their loved ones, drawing their loved ones as they practiced their names. The children were able to create bracelets and necklaces as well as enjoy a tea for two, with a wonderful collection of teas for the children and their loved ones.
All the children had a fantastic time at their afternoon tea. Kool Kidz Tarneit would love to Thank all the Mum’s, loved ones and people who came to join us over the week.
