This week we have engaged in different types of textured art experiences in the Honey Bees room.
The first experience was rock painting / pasting where the children got to explore the feeling of the rocks, explore the patterns the rocks were making with the paint and also get creative with putting their hands and fingers into the paint. This allowed the children to communicate both verbally and non-verbally while in the experience. The second art work was bubble wrap painting. Jess and Violeta cut up some squares of bubble wrap and put paint on them for the children to investigate. Lukas, Amelia, Serene, Peta and Jasmine all approached the table and participated in using the bubble wrap with the paint. The children loved the freedom of being able to smear the bubble wrap and paint all over the paper, while using their imaginations and inquiry skills.
