Wurundjeri Week at Kool Kidz Preston

Celebrating diversity

This week we acknowledge and pay our respects to the indigenous people of this land developing an understanding of the Aboriginal tradition and culture. We had an incursion with one of the local elders and the children had the opportunity to make bracelets using a native Australian plant. This experience empowered the children to enhance their fine motor skills which will be great for pencil grip and also gave them the opportunity to use their creativity and enhance their social interaction skills as they worked in pairs.
