Educational Leader

Preston

My name is Marie and I am the Educational Leader for Kool Kidz Preston. I have been working in the early childhood industry since 2008 and in that time I have worked directly with children as an assistant and a room leader as well as an educational leader. My role at Kool Kidz began in 2016 and as an early childhood educational leader I am responsible for working with educators and children to develop the program of activities and experiences that support learning in an education and care service.

At the core of my philosophical approach to teaching and learning for young children is the recognition that children are individuals who are naturally curious, competent, imaginative, resourceful and inventive.  They possess a desire to learn and communicate and interact with others.  Young children have many ways in which they can express themselves, and we, as educators, must tap into these ways and engage the children in their learning.

The curriculum is a collaborative venture, negotiated with children and parents, and developed by qualified early childhood professionals.  Children are valued as competent and capable learners, alongside teachers who actively encourage and support them to be so.

I look forward to collaborating and working with all parents and families to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children.

Prestonmary

Honeybees Room

Hi my name is Mary and I am the lead educator in the Honey Bees Room.

I have my Diploma in Children Services and have been working in childcare since 2004.

My personal goal as an educator is to watch the children grow to their full potential.  I want to take the children to different levels and see them develop as individuals. It is the most rewarding part of my job.

From my educational experiences, I know the value that motivation and encouragement brings into the classroom.  I propose to encourage our children to not only grow, but to motivate them through challenges and support them as they learn and grow through their experiences with me in the room.

Prestonrenee

Snugglepots Room

Hello my name is Renee and I have 10 years’ experience in children services. I have worked as a FIFO nanny and also 5 years of children services in Darwin as a lead Educator. I have also worked in child protection as a family contact in the support team.

My philosophy is that all children have the right to be treated equally and with respect regardless of race, ability, language or gender.

My personal goal is to watch the children grow to their full potential.

                                         Beetlebugs Room

My Prestonlisaname is Lisa and I have been working in Child Care for 6 years. I hold my Certificate III and my Diploma In Early Childhood Education and Care.

I come from a beautiful family and I have a Croatian and New Zealand background.  I love to travel and spend time with my family and friends.

I have been lucky enough to work in several different centres over the years and have been at KoolKidz Preston since it opened. I have also worked as a nanny and I love to babysit the children from Koolkidz which is a honour. Buiding the trust and bond with the families and children is very imporatnt as it is important that both the children and parents feel comfortable with me and be able to approach me about anything.

I believe that all the children along with staff should be treated equally. That cultural and special need’s should always be incuded into the room , plan and activities. I believe that all children should be loved and guided and given a sense of agnecy to be able to explore and reach their full potential. One of my main goals is to make every child feel special while they are in my care and to help them grow and learn everyday. Every child is an individul and I believe that each child can achieve anything with the right patience and love.

I look forward to another great year at Koolkidz Preston.

Jitterbugs Room

PrestonchantelleHi my name is Chantelle and I am the room leader of the jitterbugs room at Kool Kidz Preston.

I have worked in the early year’s industry for 10 years. Throughout this time I have been an assistant, nominated supervisor and a room leader.

As the Jitterbugs room leader it is my mission to give the children high quality care and an educational program for all individual children. I believe children learn best in a positive, nurturing environment, where they feel safe and secure, which is what myself and the jitterbugs team aim to do.

Prestondebra

Butterflies Room

My name is Debra and am the room leader for the Butterflies Room. I’ve worked in child care for around 10 years and previously worked in the primary school system.

I enjoy spending my time away from work with family, friends and I am heavily involved with the Sydney Swans football club and I am in the Melbourne cheer squad.

I believe that all children should be treated equally and each child’s cultural background should be respected. I will provide nurturing care and a safe environment for each child ensuring their day at childcare is enjoyable.

I will encourage and assist each child to be independent and confident in all areas of their learning and self-help skills.

I will keep parents informed of their child’s progress and of their daily activities and achievements.

My belief is to encourage each child to try new activities to explore, be creative and most of all enjoy everything they do.

I believe that we as care givers are one of the stepping stones of a child’s journey to becoming a responsible, confident and independent person of the future and I feel very grateful and proud to be part of the process.
