Slip, Slop, Slap
The children in the kinder room have been slip, slop, slapping their sunscreen to protect their skin from the harsh UV rays whilst outdoors at Kool Kidz. Educators have had discussions with children about the importance of wearing sunscreen, sun hats and spending time in the shade during outside play. Before going outside, all kinder children confidently put their own sunscreen on, they remember to put it on their face and any other part of their skin that may be showing such as arms and legs.
Children have been using a mirror inside to ensure their sunscreen is applied all over the areas needed and rubbed in thoroughly. Children help their peers and remind them if they have missed a bit of sunscreen that needs to be rubbed in. Well done to all the kinder children for showing great self-help skills and enthusiasm for protecting their skin for outdoor play experiences.
