Outdoor Sleeping at Kool Kidz Mill Park

Outdoor Sleeping at Kool Kidz Mill Park

Both Honeybees and Beetlebugs children participate in our amazing outdoor sleeping program.

At Kool Kidz Mill Park, our program encompasses a holistic approach to the development of our children by implementing experiences that focus on the complete wellbeing of our group.  This focus takes into consideration all aspects of the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of each child.

With this in mind and based on a recent article that was published on the benefits of outdoor sleeping, we have embedded this practice within our program in the Honeybees and Beetlebugs rooms.

The benefits to the children include:

  • Exposure to fresh air which improves sleep quality and increases oxygen intake
  • Improved immunity to fend off coughs and colds
  • Relaxation

Outdoor sleeping is available when weather conditions are deemed safe and the temperature does not exceed 30c degrees.  This is monitored on a daily basis by the room leader and Owner/
Approved Provider, Nicole Llewellyn.

As you can see by the photos, the children have embraced our outdoor sleeping program and are already reaping the benefits with sleeping longer.
