Beetlebugs Room Leader Shares Her Educator Philosophy
Hi, my name is Anna and I am the room leader in the Beetlebugs room.
Here is a little bit about myself and my personal philosophy:
I have been in the early childhood industry for four years now. I hold my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care which I completed in 2015. Working in the early childhood industry, I am passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives and watching them develop, grow and succeed into the amazing little human beings that they are!
I value early childhood education as the foundation for lifelong learning. I believe that each child is a unique individual and should be viewed, respected and treated as such. The wellbeing of each child is paramount. Therefore I strive to provide holistic support of each child’s exclusive requirements and interests in a secure, caring, nurturing, familiar and supportive environment that fosters the children’s development across all developmental areas.
I aim to provide a welcoming, nurturing, engaging and stimulating environment which provides each child the opportunity to learn, play and grow, no matter their age or skill level. I actively work to support full inclusion of all children.
I strive to create an environment where my staff feel supported, encouraged and involved. Educators should work together as a team and respect one another’s views. I believe in team work and continuous support from within the team.
I ensure each child has the right to engage in learning experiences that are meaningful and significant to the child and their interests. I will foster each child’s agency, as I believe that children become more independent in their thinking, because they are given choice and opportunity to learn and grow.
