World Sight Day is a huge international event to raise awareness about the subject of avoidable blindness and vision loss.
Run by company Australian Vision 2020 they are working with the World Health Organization and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness on the current initiative “The right to Sight”.
Despite living in a developed country sight loss is still an important subject to look for in your child. If your child has sight issues this can result in social difficulties and learning setbacks effecting a child’s language literacy and cognitive development. “Kindergarten Age” is a really good age to get your child checked before school.
