We had some brand new toys in the kitchen area for our Snugglepots this week. As the educator started unwrapping the packages, our little snuggles gathered around the table looking with excitement. We have been promoting ‘Healthy Eating’ for a couple of months now, encouraging all the children to eat their fruits and vegetables during meal times. Following up on that discussion, we thought that this would be a great opportunity for the children to learn through play. The children were very happy picking up and observing the different types of vegetables and fruits. Needless to say, they also had fun playing pretend, cooking up meals and sipping away with the kitchen utensils provided. We had an eventful group time this morning and would definitely continue our efforts in promoting ‘Healthy Eating’ amongst the children.
