Happy Fathers Day

This week the children of the Honeybees room were busy preparing gifts for Father’s Day. The children chose a poster and had the opportunity to paint on tree branch cut-offs. The children were introduced to natural resources and discovered that painting can be done on other materials than paper. All the Honeybees children got the opportunity to mix different colours of paint with their fingers, creating beautiful shades of purple, aqua, green, and fuchsia. They felt the cool and wet texture of the paint with their fingers and hands.

With the help of the childcare educators, the children then chose ribbon to tie to their masterpieces which were created with a lot of time and patience. The children persisted and showed an amazing level of interest and concentration whilst preparing their gifts for their fathers.
